Bob Brooks, 61, Little Rock, Ark., died Feb. 11, 2024. Brooks was known to many in the equipment and event rental industry through his legislative advocacy work with the American Rental Association’s (ARA) government affairs team.

William Robert “Bob” Bradshaw, 70, died Jan. 21, 2024. Bradshaw served in the Genie organization for 22 years, retiring in 2019 as the company’s regional vice president for the western region. 

Joseph Stephen Mihalko, 83, Whippany, N.J., died Jan. 22, 2024. He was the owner of Do-It-Yourself in East Hanover, N.J. 

James Hallman Jr., 46, Cleburne, Texas, died Dec. 14, 2023. Hallman was president of Hallman Equipment Rental in Alvarado, Texas.

Rogelio Munsayac Salazar, 87, Isabela, Philippines, died Nov. 9, 2023. Salazar served as the service technician at Oxon Hill Rentals, Fort Washington, Md., for 25 years.

Don Cruikshank, 70, Santa Clarita, Calif., died Nov. 24, 2023. Cruikshank co-founded A-V Equipment Rentals in Newhall, Calif.

Ben Blood, 28, Garden City, Kan., died Nov. 18, 2023. Blood was vice president of Big L Rentals & Sales in Garden City.

Grace Velazco, 53, Ventura, Calif., died Oct. 24, 2023. Velazco was employed by Phoenix-based PRO EM National Event Services.

Paul Oliver, 76, Somers, Conn., died Oct. 18, 2023. Oliver was the president of Taylor True Value Rental in Enfield, Conn.

Daryl Gaskins, 53, Clayton, N.C., died Sept. 24, 2023. Gaskins was region fleet director with United Rentals, Stamford, Conn.

Howard Heller, 80, Murray Hill, N.J., died Oct. 7, 2023. Heller owned M & R Sales, New Providence, N.J., and held leadership roles in the American Rental Association.

Tina Behnke Spencer, 59, Winchester, Va., died Aug. 28, 2023. Behnke Spencer was the client experience officer with AirPac Rents, Front Royal, Va.

Daniel Pearson, 51, Fort Worth, Texas, died Aug. 5, 2023. Pearson received the first-ever ARA Insurance/National Equipment Register (NER) award recognizing law enforcement officers who have performed exceptional service to the rental industry.

Larry Van Over, 94, Lebanon, Ore., died July 19, 2023. Van Over was the owner of Lebanon Rental Service in Lebanon, Ore.

Jerry Rossiter, 86, died in April 2023.

Russ Walsh, 64, Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, died May 29, 2023. Walsh was a co-owner of Eze Rent-it Centre, British Columbia, for 36 years.

Jason Niemann, 48, of Howard Lake, Minn., died May 25, 2023. Niemann was employed with Delano Rental, Delano, Minn., for 10 years.

John “Jack” Shea Jr., 84, of Woburn, Mass., died March 30, 2023.

Doug Helton, 62, of Vail, Ariz., died on Jan. 22, 2023.

Arnold “Arnie” Brunner, 77, of Smethport, Pa., died Jan. 1, 2023. 

Allen Morehead, 86, died Feb. 21, 2023.

David Herriott, 80, of Champaign, Ill., died Sept. 16, 2022. 

Ron Hutchinson, 71, of Madison, Miss., died Feb. 1, 2023. Hutchinson was the founder of Mississippi Tent & Party Rental in Madison.

William “Bill” Butler, 83, died Jan. 10, 2023, in Orange County, Calif.
