Daryl Gaskins, 53, Clayton, N.C., died Sept. 24, 2023. Gaskins was region fleet director with United Rentals, Stamford, Conn.
Prior to joining United Rentals — initially as the company’s district manager in fluid solutions — Gaskins spent 21 years with Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. in various management roles, including time in Dubai, UAE, as the company’s general manager of the Middle East and North Africa. He left Hertz in 2016 and was the CEO at ADCO Holdings, Blu Site Solutions, headquartered in Germany, until joining United Rentals in January 2020.
Gaskins is survived by his wife, Claire Wood Gaskins; daughters, Lillie and Maggie; brother, Brent (Rene) Gaskins; parents, Sammy and Cindy Gaskins; grandmother, Jean Kiser; sister-in-law, Ashley Watts; and nephews, Noah, Jack, Davis and Henry.
