Arena Americas, Milwaukee, has announced a multiyear relationship extension with the United States Golf Association (USGA) through which Arena will continue to deliver comprehensive infrastructure for the U.S. Open Championship through 2029.
Arena Americas has provided tenting, flooring, carpeting, staircases, railings, video board structures and other features for various USGA championships since establishing the relationship in 2015.
“We are excited to extend our relationship with the USGA for the U.S. Open Championship,” said Jimmy Parks, president of structures and seating, Arena Americas. “The U.S. Open is one of the four major golf championships globally, and we take great pride in contributing to its success. Our collaboration with the USGA highlights our dedication to delivering top-tier infrastructure for the most renowned sporting events in the United States and globally.”
The USGA, founded in 1894, governs the sport of golf and hosts some of the most well-known events on the sport’s calendar, including the U.S. Open.
“Through the new term of this exciting relationship, we look forward to continuing to leverage Arena Americas’ innovative and outstanding high-quality approach to ensure the U.S. Open maintains its reputation for excellence and sophistication,” said Leighton Schwob, senior director of operations, USGA. “We feel proud of what we have been able to accomplish together over the years and look forward to future growth and success.”
The 2024 U.S. Open will feature an extensive array of Arena’s products, the company said, including 450,000 sq. ft. of flooring, 310,000 sq. ft. of carpet, and 365,000 sq. ft. of tenting. In addition, the company said it will provide 3,400 linear ft. of drink rail, 6,200 linear ft. of glass and spindle rail, and eight video board structures.
