As the equipment and event rental industry continues to bounce back from the effects of the pandemic, mergers and acquisitions dominated the industry’s news. The year ended with United Rentals finalizing its acquisition of Ahern Rentals for $2 billion in December. Several of the country’s largest equipment rental businesses also reported record revenue throughout 2022. Here are the top rental news stories from the past year.
