Financial results: Deere and Co.; Generac Holdings; Haulotte; Lincoln Electric Holdings

Deere and Co., Moline, Ill., reported first quarter net income of $1.75 billion, compared to $1.96 billion the year before. The company expects net income for fiscal 2024 to be between $7.50 billion to $7.75 billion.

Generac Holdings, Waukesha, Wis., reported net sales of $1.06 billion during the 2023 fourth quarter, up 1 percent compared to $1.06 billion in the prior-year fourth quarter. The company also reported net sales for the full year, earning $4.02 billion in 2023, down 12 percent compared to $4.56 billion in 2022.

Haulotte, L’Horme, France, earned €199 million (US$214.3 million) in sales during the 2023 fourth quarter, up 13 percent compared to the last quarter of 2022. For the full year of 2023, the company earned €767 million (U.S.$826.1 million), up 26 percent compared to €610 million (US$657.1 million) in 2022.

Lincoln Electric Holdings, Cleveland, reported a record $1.1 billion in net sales during the 2023 fourth quarter, a 13.7 percent increase compared to $930.9 million in the prior-year fourth quarter. The company also reported net sales for the full year, earning a record $4.2 billion in net sales, an 11.4 percent increase compared to $3.8 billion in 2022.

Toromont Industries, Toronto, reported revenue of $1.23 billion during the 2023 fourth quarter, up 9 percent compared to $1.13 billion in the 2022 fourth quarter. Revenue for the 2023 full year was $4.62 billion, up 12 percent compared to $4.12 billion the previous year.

Xylem, Washington, D.C., reported $2.1 billion in fourth quarter 2023 revenue compared to $1.5 billion in the fourth quarter 2022. Full year revenue for 2023 was $7.4 billion compared to $5.5 billion in 2022.
