In the June/July 2023 issue, Rental Management revealed its 2023 Market Movers — a listing of the equipment and event rental industry’s fastest-growing independent businesses, measured by revenue growth.
Two companies from the American Rental Association’s (ARA) Region Eight — which includes the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington — were among this year’s Market Movers:
Alaska Trailer, Anchorage, Alaska
Alaska Trailer, which provides solutions for transportation and hauling on both a rental and sales basis, was among the Market Mover companies in the category of $10 million or less in annual equipment rental revenue. The company was shown to have experienced a 153 percent jump in revenue between 2020 ($1.5 million) and 2022 ($3.8 million).
Britton Webb, owner of Alaska Trailer, attributed the company’s rapid growth to “our customers, employees, and the systems we have built or put into place,” adding that focusing solely on equipment rentals in Alaska Trailer’s early days contributed to the company’s uniqueness. “We started with just rentals and did that for years before branching out into sales and service. That really helped us to have a unique insight into our customers.”

Alexander Party Rentals, Kent, Wash.
Alexander Party Rentals has catered to the event rental needs of the Greater Puget Sound area since 1991. The company was included on the 2023 Market Movers list in the category of those companies with more than $3 million in annual event rental revenue/more than $250k in year one (between 2020 and 2022). Alexander Party Rentals was listed in the group with revenues of $3.5 million (2020) and $5.8 million (2022) — an increase of 66 percent.
