Ri$k HappensA driver for a rental store was stuck in the middle of a bad situation. He was driving down the road towing a trailer with a piece of equipment loaded on it. Another truck driver also pulling a trailer merged into the lane of the rental store employee.

The rental store driver was paying attention and saw the other truck moving into his lane of travel. He slowed and moved to his right just a bit to avoid the truck to his left. It was a near-miss but he cleared the back of the trailer in front of him.

He didn’t have long to be thankful unfortunately. Just as he missed the trailer to his left and in front of him, there was another vehicle in his blind spot to his right. The rental store employee scraped the driver’s side of the third vehicle from the rear quarter panel all the way up to the side mirror.

No one was hurt and the dents and scratches can be repaired. The claim was reported to the rental store’s insurance company who will review the facts and pay the claim according to the wording in the policy.
