As the American Rental Association (ARA) board chair and chair of this year’s Leadership Development Committee, it is my honor to present to the ARA membership the slate of nominees for the ARA board of directors. The nominees were selected by the Leadership Development Committee comprised exclusively of your rental peers and approved by the ARA Board of Directors for presentation to the membership for approval.
The Leadership Development Committee maintains a pool of candidates for board service based on several criteria, including how they demonstrate and represent leadership in the industry, possess the ability to think strategically, and are dedicated to ARA’s mission and purpose. Specific responsibilities include oversight of ARA’s strategic direction and fiduciary responsibility.
ARA values and seeks leadership representing diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, geographic location and type of professional experience.
These nominees will bring a vast array of experience, perspectives and diverse skill sets in support of ARA’s strategic initiatives.

Help shape the future of the equipment and event rental industry. Members are responsible for approving the slate of nominees. Ballots will be available electronically to the designated representatives of all ARA members between Monday, Aug. 28, and Monday, Sept. 11, 2023.
ARA general members will approve the slate of president-elect, directors for their respective regions and the associate member director. Associate members will approve the associate member director nominee.
More information on the nominees will be forthcoming in Rental Pulse and with the August/September issue of Rental Management, which includes an insert detailing the backgrounds of the nominees. This information will be available online to help designated representatives of ARA members learn more about each nominee before casting their electronic ballots.

Designated representatives are scheduled to receive emails with voting information from ARA@intelliscaninc.net on Aug. 16 and Aug. 28. Intelliscan is ARA’s service provider for the board approval. Be sure to add ARA@intelliscaninc.net to your safe sender list.
This is an opportunity for you, as an ARA member, to learn about and voice your support for the individuals who represent you on the ARA board. Those approved will begin their terms in spring 2024.
