Trainings do not need to be ARA-branded programs but must support a career in the equipment or event rental industry.
The savings on training offered through the Employee Training Assistance Program helped Event Essentials in Windsor, Wis., make one of its drivers, Jakob Sather, become a valid CDL holder.
“Getting your CDL is typically anywhere from $2,500 to $4,500, so the financial assistance was a huge help,” says Robert Copley, CERP, Event Essentials sales manager and incoming ARA Region Five director. “Anything to help offset that sort of cost is vital, especially when you’re doing those things in the offseason. We have utilized the Employee Training Assistance Program through the ARA Foundation a couple of times. It has been great.”
