What makes your product “rental specific?” “Party Track has many features to assist event equipment rental companies with managing their businesses. The rental-specific features center around the management of their inventory, allowing the company to know what inventory is available for specified periods of time, when and how it is getting to and back from the customer, and handling the impacts of any missing or damaged inventory,” says Larry Weeman, president.
How does your product make a rental store more efficient? “With each passing year, rental software evolves helping rental companies become more efficient. A function such as capturing electronic signatures simplifies getting signed documents from customers saving both the rental store and customer time. Party Track implemented our own signature program allowing the gathering of signatures at no cost. Integrated credit card processing is another function that makes it easier to get a deposit and other payments from customers where the customers process their payments on orders. Automated electronic notifications remind customers in advance of events to finalize their orders and make their payments. This reduces the amount of time sales support needs to spend on follow-up,” Weeman says.
Why should a rental store choose your product? “Party Track was built specifically for event rental companies. With our focus on just this segment of the rental business, we provide software features specific to event rental businesses. In addition, our team provides great support for our customers. When you contact us, you get direct support from someone who has between 17 and 27 years working with Party Track,” Weeman says.

What do you think is next for rental-specific software? “As I look back over almost three decades of working with software for event rental companies, I have seen the progression of managing their businesses from just working with hand-written documents to using software designed for internal sales staff, to using software with features that allow customers to manage their own orders and other functions. I believe the progression will continue where customers can handle more functions improving the efficiency of event rental companies,” Weeman says.

The American Rental Association (ARA) has created ARA Rental Software Reviews, an online tool available exclusively to ARA members via ARArental.org.
Members can access the tool by clicking here.
The tool is generated from an ongoing survey of ARA members, which asked members to rate their current rental software system as well as the importance of common rental-specific software features.
The tool includes survey results detailing features ARA members are using, features ranked by importance, market share according to reviews, software comparisons, software reviews and software feature comparisons.
Reports also can be filtered by industry segment and by the size of rental company.
