People on the move: Deere & Co.; Tsurumi Pump

Deere & Co., Moline, Ill.: Kellye Walker has been named senior vice president and chief legal officer, world-wide public affairs, effective April 29. Walker is a former Eastman Chemical Co. executive and will succeed Mary Jones, who announced her intention to retire later this year, as the company’s chief legal officer. Walker will have executive management responsibility for the global law and patent departments, as well as oversight of the company’s public affairs and environmental health and safety functions.

Walker has more than 25 years of senior executive experience. At Eastman Chemical Co., she held overall leadership responsibility for Eastman’s legal organization, including oversight of corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, litigation, government affairs, product stewardship and regulatory affairs, global business conduct, as well as the company’s global health, safety and environment organizations.

Tsurumi Pump, Glendale Heights, Ill.: John Hartz has been named new sales engineer. Hartz has worked in the water and wastewater industry for more than 35 years. He spent several years as a licensed plant operator, working with municipal water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems.
