As the warm embrace of summer draws near, it’s time to gear up for the bustling months ahead in the equipment and event rental industry. With event season on the horizon and a flurry of homeowner projects in the pipeline, there’s much to anticipate and prepare for.
With the arrival of summer, the demand for rental equipment and event supplies is set to soar. From home projects to weddings and large festivals, our members play a pivotal role in providing the inventory and resources necessary for success. Whether it’s heavy machinery for construction projects or tents and tables for outdoor events, we stand ready to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
I’m thrilled to highlight the value of the American Rental Association’s (ARA) Box Truck Training program, which we proudly utilize in our own business operations. As transportation logistics become increasingly crucial, this program equips members with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this area. From safe loading/unloading practices and the delivery process, the Box Truck Training program ensures that members are well-equipped to handle the demands of delivery and logistics, enhancing both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
On a lighter note, I’m looking forward to the upcoming ARA of Canada golf tournaments in Ontario (Thursday, June 27) and Alberta (Friday, Sep. 13). These events provide an excellent opportunity for members to unwind, network and showcase their golfing prowess. It’s a chance to connect with industry colleagues, forge new partnerships and enjoy a day of friendly competition on the green. Stay tuned for more details on these exciting events!
As we prepare to dive into the summer season, I encourage each of you to make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead. Whether it’s by participating in our training programs, expanding your rental offerings or joining us for one of our upcoming social events, there’s something for everyone within ARA.
Summer also is the time when ARA gathers nominations for its annual Industry Awards — including the Rental Hall of Fame and a variety of Industry Contributor Awards. Do you know someone in the equipment and event rental community who has gone above and beyond to help the industry thrive? You can help ARA give that individual the recognition they deserve.
