The 194-lb. LFe 60 LAT battery-powered, forward plate compactor from Husqvarna Construction Products N.A., Olathe, Kan., is the company’s first battery-powered compactor. The machine runs on a Honda eGX battery platform and was designed to combine easy handling, no CO2 direct exhaust emissions during operation, and smart features, the company says. The low-vibration machine is equipped with a push-start button, transport wheels and a handle that folds for compact transport. A removeable water tank allows for control of water flow. At the same time, the bottom plate and water sprinkling system are designed to prevent the fresh asphalt from sticking to the equipment or creating marks on the ground.
