A total of $123,500 in scholarship funds has been awarded to 43 students by the ARA Foundation and its affiliate programs for the 2023-2024 school year.
The scholarships will provide financial assistance to students pursuing equipment and event rental-related education at trade schools, community colleges, undergraduate colleges and graduate schools.
This year’s offerings included the brand-new Fred Dupy Memorial Scholarship worth $4,000, offered in memory of an American Rental Association (ARA) member with a passion for industry service and giving: the late Fred Dupy, who was president of American Party Rental in Austin, Texas.

Megan Geho, West Coast Rental, Land O’ Lakes, Fla., was the top winner. She received the Leonard Hawk Founders Scholarship worth $5,000 and an ARA of Florida Scholarship worth $1,000 for a total of $6,000.
“My family has been members of the ARA for 27 years and the ARA Foundation has provided us with so much information, insight and relationships with others to get our company to where it is today,” says Geho, who is enrolled at St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Fla. “I love being a part of this organization and am excited to use all of the knowledge that I’m gaining through my educational courses to help me excel even more.”
