The 18V LXT string trimmer model XRU24 from Makita USA, La Mirada, Calif., features zero emissions, lower noise and less maintenance, the company says. The Makita-built motor delivers 7,800 rpm and the trimmer delivers up to one hour of run time with the battery, which is not included.
The trimmer is equipped with a head that rotates 180 degrees, allowing the trimmer to convert to an edger. The trimmer has an adjustable loop handle and an easy-loading bump and feed trimmer head with metal reinforced bump knob.
