Hey there, American Rental Association (ARA) Region One family!
It’s Stefani Donabedian, your fellow member and friend from Hudson, Mass. I am the vice president of Decanted Wine Truck and the current president of the ARA of Massachusetts. I know it is busy season and things are buzzing with activity in our industry right now, but I hope that amidst all the hustle, you can squeeze in a moment to take a breath and check out some of the wonderful events we have lined up.
On July 30, the ARA of New Hampshire has an exhilarating day planned for us — an Employee Appreciation Day at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, N.H. What better way to thank your amazing teams and families than to share a Sunday filled with thrilling rides, yummy food and great company?
Fast forward to Sept. 13, the Region One state presidents have organized a jointly hosted outing to Fenway Park in Boston, where we’ll watch the Red Sox compete against the Yankees. This is bound to be a riveting event, allowing us a chance to network and engage in friendly team rivalries.
This October, the ARA Women in Rental and Young Professional Network (YPN) conferences will both be held in beautiful Clearwater Beach, Fla. As always, they have fantastic speakers and networking opportunities lined up and are bound to be captivating. The Women in Rental conference is sold out, but seats still remain for the YPN conference.

These events provide an enriching experience both personally and professionally. I can’t stress enough how much I value every ARA event I attend, whether it be national- or state-hosted. Take our last event in Massachusetts, for example, where we dove into the world of social media for the rental industry. We had a dynamic audience from all over the state; all participants were super engaged and asked brilliant questions. Our speaker, Jenn Buckalew, was an absolute rock star. Let’s not forget the fantastic meal we had at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse (foodies, you know what I’m talking about!).

As we wrap up, I want to give a huge round of applause to our industry’s rising stars who’ve received scholarships through the ARA Foundation and its affiliate programs for the 2023-2024 school year:
- Mia Pineault, All Season Party Rentals, Danbury, Conn., who received an ARA of Connecticut Scholarship worth $1,000.
- Carlin Reyen, RDS (formerly known as Eureka! The Tent Co.) Johnson Outdoors, Binghamton, N.Y., who received an ARA of New York Scholarship worth $1,250.
- Emma Raymond, Caledonia Diesel, Caledonia, N.Y., who received an ARA of New York Scholarship worth $1,250.
