World of Concrete logoThe World of Concrete 2024 (WOC) celebrated its 50th anniversary during the show Jan. 23-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show serves the global commercial concrete construction and masonry industries.

More than 1,300 companies from 34 countries converged at WOC to unveil tools, machinery and materials with exhibitors in a multitude of categories from material handling, work trucks and technology.

Some of the products introduced by exhibitors at the trade show that could be of interest to those in equipment rental include:

DICA, Urbandale, Iowa, offers engineered multi pad systems based on fiber tech pads that range in size from 12 to 30 sq. ft. The multi pad systems are designed to assist equipment operators who need to assemble supporting surfaces for outriggers without the aid of secondary equipment. The pads are sized to support equipment from the smallest to the largest concrete pumps, the company said.

Kubota Tractor Corp., Grapevine, Texas, unveiled the RTV-X1130, its newest addition to the company’s line of diesel-powered utility vehicles. The vehicle features a 6-ft. long bed. The vehicle can be transformed to offer different cargo configurations without the need for tools and the cargo bed provides different material sub-compartments.

Makita USA, La Mirada, Calif., featured new products such as the 80V max (40V max X2) XGT 70-lb. breaker hammer. The hammer, called the GMH04, is a cordless breaker and designed to free users of a cord for concrete breaker applications.
