The Home Depot, Atlanta, has recognized Ann Welsh, project manager – rental expansions, during Women in Construction Week 2023. According to The Home Depot, Welsh considers herself a “Jill” of all trades and has had a passion for construction and tools since childhood.
A former construction company owner, Welsh teaches others how to use tools in her position with The Home Depot. While there have been struggles succeeding in a male-dominated industry, Welsh believes that things are getting better in the field, especially as women realize that there is no limit to available opportunities, the company says.
She urges other women in the industry not to limit themselves.
“There’s nothing you can’t do, accomplish or achieve,” Welsh said. “Everything happens for a reason…when things happen, realize that maybe that moment was a growth moment for you. This could be the perfect opportunity to reinvent yourself.”
