Young professionals to gather at unique event
During The ARA Show, young professionals from across the equipment and event rental industry have the opportunity to build their network while enjoying great food and watching the big game. The YPN Reception is an exclusive event for members of the American Rental Association’s (ARA) Young Professional Network (YPN) — those between the ages of 18 and 40.
The reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, at Ole Red, Blake Shelton’s latest bar in the heart of Icon Park in Orlando. Ole Red offers a full country experience filled with music, delicious dishes and signature drinks all inspired by Blake Shelton.
Tickets are $100 per person. Advance ticket and registration are required. Those interested in joining YPN can join for free at ARArental.org/young-professional-network.

Monday Feb. 13
Join your rental peers at the Welcome Reception
Attendees of The ARA Show have the opportunity to join their peers at the Welcome Reception which will bring everyone together while also providing a chance to meet those in your region.
The Welcome Reception (previously known as the Regional Receptions) — held Monday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center — will be hosted jointly by each of ARA’s 10 regions. Throughout the reception, each region will have a designated “hang out” spot, but attendees are welcome to mingle throughout the event and meet others from across the U.S. and Canada. Plus, a leader from each region will be recognized for their contributions to the rental community.
Tickets are $40 per person and advance registration is required.

Supporting ARAPAC at the driving range
On Monday, Feb. 13, members of ARA’s political action committee (ARAPAC) and their guests are invited to an exclusive event at Topgolf — located across the street from The ARA Show’s location at the Orange County Convention Center.
This event — held from 7 to 9 p.m. — will be filled with food and fun at this premier entertainment destination in Orlando, which features three floors with more than 100 climate-controlled hitting bays.
“The ARAPAC Reception is always a great party. Over the years, ARAPAC has selected great locations, provided a sumptuous meal and topped off the evening with a bountiful selection of adult beverages. We’ve enjoyed special presentations by interesting guests, on-site entertainment or other fun-filled activities. Even the raffles are exciting. For all these reasons, it’s one of those ‘must attend’ events for us,” says Delores Crum, CERP, ARA Event Rental Shared Interest Group (SIG) chair, member of the ARA Event Rental Advocacy Workgroup and president of Premiere Events, Austin, Texas.
Tickets are $100 per person and must be purchased by ARAPAC members. Shuttle service will be provided from select official show hotels. Money raised during the event will support ARAPAC, which advocates for the rental industry in Washington, D.C.
“When laws get passed, they can affect your business in a positive or negative way for a long period of time. ARAPAC is ARA’s voice in Washington and keeps us up to date on all legislation that affects our industry. More members gives all of us a stronger voice when we are responding to issues that affect us. It’s true, the squeaky wheels get the grease,” says Scott Irwin, ARA president, member of the ARA Equipment Rental Advocacy Workgroup, and president and co-owner of Delux Rental, Ypsilanti, Mich.

Women in Rental to connect at The ARA Show
The Women in Rental Breakfast held during The ARA Show 2023 will give attendees the opportunity to network and learn from leading women in the rental industry.
The event — which is open to all attendees and exhibitors — is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 7:45 to 9 a.m. at the Orange County Convention Center North/South Building. The event will feature keynote speaker Connie Podesta — who is known worldwide for her innovative and out-of-the box creativity and incredible stage presence.
