It’s the Season of Giving — a time when the American Rental Association (ARA) encourages those who are part of the rental community to remember the ARA Foundation and its industry-impacting educational and community outreach programs.

Monetary support from the rental community enables the ARA Foundation to assist hundreds of people each year through its programs that:

  • Provide scholarships to students looking for a career in rental.
  • Assist with the cost of continuing education for rental employees.
  • Respond with financial assistance after a natural disaster.
  • Sponsor group training and conferences for rental professionals.
  • Improve communities where our members work and live.
  • Help people progress in their careers through mentoring relationships.

See how ARA Foundation programs helped a few members of the community during 2023:

Kids like Hunter Ricci recently benefited from the cleanup and enrichment of Aero Lane Park baseball field in Bigfork, Mont., thanks to the Community Impact Program — a Foundation initiative that helps local nonprofit organizations through improvement projects driven by rental people and equipment.

Olivia Limberger of White Glove Rentals, Aberdeen, Md., received a total of $4,250 in scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year and says, “The ARA Foundation’s commitment to young rental players does not go unnoticed — it is paramount in the longevity and success of the rental industry.”

The Employee Training Assistance Program helped Kelynn Tyler of Vandalia Rental pursue Class A CDL training.

Kelynn Tyler of Vandalia Rental, headquartered in Vandalia, Ohio, received a grant through the Employee Training Assistance Program to help cover costs associated with Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training. Tyler always had a desire to drive big trucks and when asked what this training has meant for her career development, she said, “This opportunity means the world to me.”
