Portable Electric logoPortable Electric, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, is expanding its Vancouver facility to increase production capacity to more than 2,000 units in preparation for market demand. The cleantech company’s total facility size has grown to 40,000 sq. ft.

The expansion comes as a response to the increasing demand for clean, off-grid power solutions across several industries, the company said. With more than 850 units in the field, Portable Electric has seen a surge in demand for its Volstack ecosystem of portable and mobile battery energy storage systems and e-Chargers.

“We’re expanding for the second time in two years, and this is yet another significant milestone for Portable Electric,” said Keith Marett, CEO, Portable Electric. “We are thrilled to be able to increase our production capacity to meet the growing demand for our products. This expansion will not only allow us to better serve our customers and stakeholders, but also provide more job opportunities.”

The expanded facility is set to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2023, with Portable Electric looking to further expand with facilities in the U.S. and Europe.
