The Perkins 2600 Series engine platform from Perkins Engines Co., Peterborough, UK, is configurated to meet the emission standards of European Union (EU) Stage V, U.S. EPA Tier 4 final as well as other versions. The engine will be available for early original equipment manufacturer (OEM) pilots in 2025, with commercial production scheduled to begin in 2026. The engine includes telematics solutions enabling OEMs to collect, analyze and integrate engine data. The 13-litre diesel engine platform is designed to achieve power density, torque and fuel efficiency for heavy off-highway applications.
