People on the move: VMAC; Volvo CE; Yanmar CE North America

VMAC, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada: Jamie McPherson was named director of engineering. With experience in industrial manufacturing and design engineering, McPherson will lead the company’s vertically integrated product development department, which includes a foundry, custom machine shop, and mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams.

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), Eskilstuna, Sweden: Mats Sköldberg has been appointed head of technology. Most recently, he was head of technology for Volvo CE in China and has held a number of other senior technology roles in recent years. Scott Young has been appointed head of sales region North America. Young was head of the Volvo CE Uptime Center of Expertise and has held a number of other roles in strategy, technology and other functions with the company. Jay Parker has been appointed to the newly created executive management team (EMT) role of head of digital & IT.

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America (Yanmar CE North America), Grand Rapids, Minn.: Linda Haensel has been named director of human resources. Haensel is responsible for human resources training and development, the enhancement of organizational culture and employee recruitment and retention as the company prepares for significant expected growth.
