People on the move: CORT Furniture Rental; Generac Power Systems; Sunstate Equipment; Terex

CORT Furniture Rental, Chantilly, Va.: Brian Joyce has been promoted to the role of executive vice president of operations, East. Joyce joined the company in 2008 and was operations manager in the Philadelphia district, where he also served as the Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP) Champion for the former Service Center 1. He later transitioned into the role of district general manager in Philadelphia before being promoted to area manager for both the Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia districts in 2013. In 2019, he was appointed as group vice president for Group 7, and most recently, held the position of senior vice president of operations for Group 1.
Doug Steil has been promoted to executive vice president operations, West. In this new role, Steil will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency and growth of CORT across the western region. He joined CORT in 2010 as the senior director of financial analysis & planning for the western region and has since held various leadership positions in operations.

Generac Power Systems, Waukesha, Wis.: Talal Butt has been named chief information officer (CIO). He will report to Generac president and CEO Aaron Jagdfeld. Butt will be responsible for spearheading the global information technology organization for Generac, including developing enterprise strategies for digital commerce, data and artificial intelligence (AI), IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and global applications.

Sunstate Equipment, Phoenix: Adam Huffman was named vice president of the Sunstate Trench Safety Rental division. Sunstate Equipment recently finalized the asset purchase of Trench Shore Rentals (TSR) and Trebor Shoring Rentals. The combined 19 TSR and Sunstate trench safety rental branches now cover nine states across the U.S. Huffman was TSR’s chief operating officer (COO), where he has spent 20 years.

Terex, Norwalk, Conn.: Neil Frohnapple has been named vice president, investor relations. He will report to Julie Beck, senior vice president and chief financial officer. He joins Terex from Timken Co., a $5 billion industrial manufacturing company, where since 2019 he had served as head of investor relations.

TVH Americas, Olathe, Kan.: Carnelius Cruz has been named new vice president of sales – Americas. He will be responsible for markets in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America. Cruz steps into the role with an extensive background in the automotive industry. In his most recent job, he served as vice president of part sales North America at Navistar.
