People on the move: Ammann America; Caterpillar; Equipment Depot; JLG Industries

Ammann America, Davie, Fla.: Mike Conley has been named director of sales & distribution development. He will help the company continue to deliver superior products, high customer satisfaction and be a trusted partner in the compaction industry, said company president Chris Perkins.

Caterpillar, Irving, Texas: Joseph Creed, group president of energy & transportation, has been appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer, effective Nov. 1, 2023. Creed will report to Jim Umpleby, chairman and CEO. Reporting to Creed will be group presidents Tony Fassino, of construction industries, Denise Johnson, of resource industries, and Bob De Lange, of service, distribution and digital. Creed’s replacement as group president of energy & transportation will be named at a later date. Creed joined Caterpillar in 1997 and has held numerous positions across multiple divisions of the company.

George Moubayed, current senior vice president of the enterprise strategy division, will assume additional responsibilities as the chief sustainability and strategy officer, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Moubayed succeeds chief sustainability officer Lou Balmer-Millar, who is retiring on Dec. 31, 2023, after more than 20 years of service. In his capacity as chief sustainability officer, Moubayed will report directly to Umpleby.

Equipment Depot, Houston: Michael Norelli has been named vice president of sales. Jeremy Rock has been named regional vice president of the south region. Bryan Leslie has been named regional vice president of the Pacific Northwest region. Norelli will work directly with the regional sales teams and national accounts organization. Rock will lead the south Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi markets. Leslie will be in charge of driving overall business growth in both the Portland and Seattle markets.

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corp. company, McConnellsburg, Pa.: Mahesh Narang has been named executive vice president of Oshkosh Corp. and president of its access segment. He will succeed Frank Nerenhausen, effective Nov. 13, 2023. Nerenhausen is retiring after more than 37 years with Oshkosh Corp. He will serve as an advisor to the company through August 2024. Narang most recently served as vice president and president of components at Cummins. Tim Morris, who has been with JLG since 1992, has been appointed chief commercial officer for JLG Americas. He will be responsible for overseeing all JLG whole goods and aftermarket commercial business initiatives in the Americas region.

MEC Aerial Work Platforms, Kerman, Calif.: Robert Cox has been named regional business development manager. His primary focus will be growing strategic business partnerships and expanding the company into new growth opportunities. He has more than 10 years of experience in the industry.

Salem Sports Events, Winston-Salem, N.C.: James Auerbach has been appointed chief revenue officer (CRO) and part of the company’s executive leadership team. Auerbach will lead all aspects of the company’s sales, business development and strategic partnerships. Auerbach brings over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles at multiple special event industry and hospitality companies with locations in both large- and mid-sized markets throughout the country. Previously, Auerbach was vice president for the event segment at the American Rental Association (ARA).
