During The ARA Show™ in Orlando, attendees from the host state of Florida had the opportunity to mix and mingle at the ARA of Florida’s off-site mixer.
The gathering took place on “Super” Sunday, Feb. 12, a short distance away from the convention center at Tin Roof, where folks from Florida’s equipment and event rental community who made the trip to Orlando caught up with one another while enjoying appetizers, a taco bar, drinks, desserts and the big game.
More than 150 attendees registered in advance for the mixer, while more opted to pay at the door to take part in the festivities.
“It was a really great party. We had a packed house with a great mix of rental people from all around Florida — some of whom we haven’t seen in three years — and our always supportive vendors,” says Jeff Crotto, CERP, All About Events – Jacksonville, Jacksonville, Fla., who, at the conclusion of the show in Orlando, officially became president-elect for the American Rental Association (ARA).
“Two of our sales team members attended the Tin Roof event and had a great time,” says Amy Fletcher, Marketing Director, Holland Pump Co., West Palm Beach, Fla. “Holland Pump Co. had seven sales team members in attendance at the show. The show was well-attended. We had several of our vendors stop by [Holland’s booth] as well as a few new potential customers. The show was well-executed from setup to exhibit to tear down.”
Jimmy Devitt, owner, Devitt & Associates, Longwood, Fla., also is glad he made the event part of his itinerary in Orlando. “This was a nice event! There was a good mix of Florida rental stores, plenty of food and a good selection, and the drinks were reasonably priced,” he says.
