Metalcraft of Mayville
(MOM), Mayville, Wis., has acquired Bluebird Turf Products, Auburn Hills, Mich. Metalcraft will retain the 21 existing employees at the Auburn Hills location.
According to MOM company management, this new acquisition offers Scag dealers around the world an additional complementary product for its current product catalog. At the same time, the Bluebird rental network will have immediate access to Scag’s turf renovation and debris products for their rental lineup.
MOM is a metal fabricator and manufacturer for customers across the U.S. The company is comprised of five divisions — contract manufacturing for large original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Scag Power Equipment, Metalcraft Automation Group, Metalcraft Plastics Group and Versatran Trucks. MOM currently has six facilities operating in southern Wisconsin and employs nearly 1,500 office and production staff. Bluebird Turf Products sold its first power rake to a small landscaping company in 1961. The company provides commercial, rental and residential users with turf care power equipment.
