dAn interchangeable winter maintenance bed from Industrial Truck Beds by Hilltip, Fort Wayne, Ind., is designed for use with interchangeable-style truck bodies. Compatible with all major brands of cable-hoist truck body systems, the new bed offers numerous performance advantages for winter maintenance professionals, in addition to the increased efficiency of using an interchangeable system, the company says.
The product features a rear cutout to better fit and protect a salt spreader chute. A specialized design allows the spreader to be mounted farther forward on the track to improve weight distribution and shorter overall length. De-icing sprayers also fit on the bed.
The bed comes with integrated, 360-degree rope rings for strapping down a spreader or any other equipment. It does not have a bulkhead, helping to provide maximum visibility. The product is available in 11- to 16.5-ft. lengths and 82- to 102-in. widths and can be ordered with steel or 304 stainless-steel deck construction.
