Mentor/mentee matchups for the 2024 season of the ARA Foundation’s Mentoring Program will be made soon, and experienced rental managers are needed to provide mentorship, guidance and coaching to those interested in taking their career to the next level through the program.

What does it take to serve as a mentor in the ARA Foundation Mentoring Program’s management track?

  • An interest in helping the equipment and event rental industry thrive.
  • Rental management expertise that can benefit your peers.
  • The ability to dedicate one hour per month to help others become more productive and successful in the industry.

What can you get from serving as a mentor?

  • The satisfaction of having given back to the industry.
  • The sharing of your knowledge to help the industry maintain its professionalism.
  • Leadership and development of people who will become friends and peers.

Factors like inventory, company size, interests and geographic location are taken into account as the ARA Foundation team matches mentors with mentees. “Each mentoring experience is individual, based on the goals and career aspirations of those involved. Whether you are an owner or manager the Mentoring Program provides opportunities for mutual learnings,” says Judson McNeil, ARA Foundation director of programs and fundraising.

Never mentored before? No problem. You will have access to resources that can help steer the proceedings. Also, as the Mentoring Program is part of the ARA Foundation umbrella of services, participants may receive up to $500 reimbursement for an in-person mentor/mentee meeting.
