The all-metal Kinetic Water Ram® from General Pipe Cleaners, A Div. of General Wire Spring Co., McKees Rocks, Pa., lets the user pump it up, insert into a drain and snap the trigger. The portable tool requires no electrical power or CO2 gas and can be used for plumbing, drain cleaning, maintenance and rental applications, the company says. The product generates a shock wave that pulverizes stoppages in 1.25- to 4-in. lines. The shock wave bypasses vents and bends to batter clogs. A built-in pump and pressure gauge lets operators choose the right amount of force for each job.
