Financial results: Cummins; Deutz; Generac Holdings; H&E Rentals; Toromont Industries; Xylem

Cummins, Columbus, Ind., earned $8.4 billion in revenue during the 2024 first quarter, compared to $8.5 billion in the 2023 first quarter.

Deutz, Cologne, Germany, reported €454.7 million ($487.7 million) in revenue during the 2024 first quarter, a 10.3 percent decrease compared to €507 million ($543.9 million) during the 2023 first quarter.

Generac Holdings, Waukesha, Wis., reported $889 million in net sales during the 2024 first quarter compared to $888 million in the prior-year first quarter. Aaron Jagfeld, president and CEO, said, “First quarter results exceeded our expectations due to strong operating margins and execution. Home standby generator shipments increased at a strong rate during the quarter from a softer prior year period, as field inventory continued to decline to more normalized levels.”

H&E Rentals, Baton Rouge, La., earned $371.4 million in revenue during the 2024 first quarter, a 15.2 percent increase compared to $322.5 million in the first quarter of 2023. Total equipment rental revenues for the 2024 first quarter were $295.3 million, a 12.7 percent increase compared to $262 million in the 2023 first quarter.

Toromont Industries, Toronto, earned $1.02 billion in 2024 first quarter revenue, down 3 percent compared to $1.04 billion in the 2023 first quarter.

Xylem, Rye Brook, N.Y., reported 2024 first quarter revenue of $2.03 billion, up 40 percent from 1.45 billion in the 2023 first quarter.
