Financial results: Caterpillar; Haulotte; H&E Equipment Services; Oshkosh Corp.

Caterpillar, Irving, Texas, reported 2023 first quarter sales and revenues of $15.9 billion, up 17 percent compared to $13.6 billion the year before. 

Haulotte, L’Horme, France, earned sales of €196.3 million (US$216.3 million) in the first quarter of 2023, compared to €135.8 million (US$149.6 million) for the same period last year.  

H&E Equipment Services, Baton Rouge, La., earned $322.5 million in revenue during the 2023 first quarter, an 18.4 percent increase compared to $272.5 million in the first quarter of 2022. Total equipment rental revenues for the 2023 first quarter were $262 million, a 31.5 percent increase compared to $199.2 million in the 2022 first quarter. 

Oshkosh Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., reported 2023 first quarter net sales of $2.27 billion, compared to $1.95 billion during the 2022 first quarter. Oshkosh Corp. is the parent company of JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa. Net sales for the access equipment segment was $1.19 billion, up 35 percent compared to $883.1 million in the 2022 first quarter. The increase was due to improved sales volume in all regions and higher pricing in response to higher input costs.
