The RPL/EX road planer for excavators from FAE USA, Flowery Branch, Ga., features cold planer technology where the road’s surface is scraped and cut by the impact of teeth attached to the rotor. The planer is compatible with excavators from 8 to 14 tons and can mill up to 5.3 in. deep. The product has a working width of 18 in. The head comes standard with technological and structural features, including an adjustable hydraulic base to manage the machine’s working depth with precision. Other features include a wide-stroke self-leveling system to keep the head properly aligned while in operation and an adjustable right skid to allow the operator to keep the head aligned in overlaps.
