Disaster relief products provide options for equipment rental users

Disaster relief equipment comes in many forms. Products can be used in numerous ways from tree trimming to clean-up and pickup efforts. The products below provide a number of options for equipment rental users:

The rubble truck from Armorgard, Cambridge, Mass., features a 105-gal. scoop and a built-in tipping feature. The product has a loading capacity of 1,650 lbs. The truck can be transported using its crane lifting eyes.

The CH500H skid-steer chipper from Crary Bear Cat, West Fargo, N.D., features a 5-in. chipping capacity and fits many models of skid steers. The product needs 15- to 22-gpm flow to drive the hydraulic feed roller and chipping rotor. The chipper includes flat-faced quick couplers.

The Tow-Pro Series line of towable boom lifts from JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., offers the choice of a 24V DC electric or 9-hp gas-powered engine. The lifts are available in two models: the T350 and the T500. These tow-behind manlifts have standard air and water lines to the platform. An accessory mounting tray accommodates a generator, air compressor or pressure washer.

The 10,960-lb. SP50E all-electric self-propelled boom lift from Niftylift, Greer, S.C., features a 50-ft. platform height and a working outreach of 31 ft. The machine has a safe working load of 500 lbs. and has a 150-degree fly-boom and 180-degree cage rotation.
