Caterpillar; Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE)

People on the MoveCaterpillar, Irving, Texas: Judith Marks, chair, CEO and president of Otis Worldwide Corp., and James Fish Jr., president and CEO of Waste Management (WM), have been appointed to the Caterpillar board of directors, effective March 1. Marks will serve on Caterpillar’s audit committee and compensation and human resources committee. Fish will serve on Caterpillar’s audit committee and sustainability & other public policy committee. The company also said that Edward Rust will not stand for re-election at the 2023 annual shareholder meeting.  

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), Gothenburg, Sweden: Jonas Bergstrand has been appointed head of legal at Volvo CE. Bergstrand will become a new member of the executive management team (EMT). Bergstrand was most recently executive vice president (EVP) and head of legal, M&A and procurement at steelmaker SSAB. The EMT finance, strategy & business development function is now divided into two separate functions. Within finance, Klara Eiritz has been appointed head of finance and will become a new member of the EMT. Eiritz currently serves as head of business control and sourcing for market area Europe and Latin America at Ericsson and previously served in a number of senior finance positions over 14 years working for Sandvik. Philippe Henriette has been appointed head of strategy and business development to lead and drive EMT. He is currently senior vice president finance, digital, IT and business development. In his new role, he will be responsible for supporting the company’s ambitions and address a number of the company’s key challenges and strategic issues.
