The CX15EV and CX25EV mini excavators from Case Construction Equipment, Racine, Wis., feature a lithium-ion battery charged either by the 110V/220V on-board charger or via an external rapid charger that can have the machine charged typically within 90 minutes, the company says. Each machine features three work modes that match electric motor speed to the task the user is doing. The 3,186-lb. CX15EV is powered by a 21hp/16kW electric motor while the 4,828-lb. CX25EV is powered by a 27hp/20kW electric motor. Both come with a standard color LCD monitor.
