“This means so much to myself and my family; this scholarship will help me meet my academic and professional goals,” says Mason Richey, West Point Rentals, Terrace, British Columbia, who received the ARA Region 10 Doug Mitchell Scholarship worth US$1,500 for the 2022-2023 school year.

“I am pursuing a degree in business management for the purpose of one day taking over my family’s business. We operate a small construction equipment rental business in northwest BC that has seen a boom due to oil and gas. My goal is to gain as much knowledge as possible at Marian University and move back to help manage and expand the company. Although the company has grown exponentially in the previous five to seven years, I feel that with my education and knowledge in that field I can help transition to the next level of growth,” Richey says.

Nearly US$134,000 is on the line. Apply here by the March 7 deadline.
