Arena Group, Milwaukee, has acquired U.K.-based temporary structure provider Showblock.

Founded in 2017, Showblock provides structures that have been showcased at events around the globe including COP28 UAE, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Chelsea Flower Show and the Diriyah ePrix in Saudia Arabia.

In a statement, Arena Group said Showblock will move forward with its existing team, led by founder and managing director Nick Cole, from its base in Warwickshire, U.K. Maestra, Showblock’s partner in the Middle East, will continue to operate the structures within that region. Arena now will offer Showblock’s products to its clients, complementing its own range of temporary and semi-permanent structures.

“We are delighted to have acquired Showblock — a company whose experience and innovation will bring an exciting new dimension to our client offering,” said Paul Berger, CEO, Arena Group. “Their structures have already graced major international events and this strategic deal will allow further expansion into this growing global market.

“Showblock’s values, ambition and sustainability commitments align directly with Arena Group’s, and we look forward to working together to deliver industry-leading space solutions.”

“My vision for Showblock has always been to push the boundaries of modular temporary structure design, while providing excellent service to our clients,” Cole said. “This acquisition represents an exciting new era, allowing us to extend our support to industry professionals on a larger scale. We are delighted to become part of Arena Group and look forward to seeing our innovative solutions being featured on projects across the globe.”

This acquisition is Arena Group’s third in the past 12 months, following deals for the remaining 50 percent of Aztec Shaffer and the purchase of Stadium Solutions.
