Hello, American Rental Association (ARA) Region Ten members.
As I write this I have just returned from Orlando and The ARA Show™ was an awesome event with lots of positivity in the air! If you attended, I hope you feel the same. If you didn’t attend, I can truly tell you that you missed out on some great opportunities.
Our ARA of Canada meet-and-greet reception on Sunday afternoon in Orlando was absolutely packed to capacity — and then some. What a fun way to kick back after a day full of educational sessions geared for rental staff at all levels of responsibility.
It was great to see so many Canadian companies exhibiting on the trade show floor this year. There were nearly 45 of them representing their products and services, and they spanned each main segment of the show floor — construction, general tool and event — as well as financial services, software and insurance. What great representation!
Now, we look to what’s coming up next.
We have an ARA of Canada webinar coming up on Thursday, March 30, with expert rental contract attorney James Waite, Esq., of James Waite Law, to discuss Canadian-specific contract issues as well as succession planning. Watch your email for details and be sure to register to view.
I’m excited to share that a Canadian location will host an upcoming project for the ARA Foundation/The Toro Company Foundation Community Impact Program. This program involves both foundations jointly partnering with local nonprofit organizations to coordinate community service projects. The purpose of the program is twofold: to allow those in the rental industry an opportunity to give back to their community as well as build public awareness and demonstrate the advantages of rental. Be on the lookout in your email for instruction on the where, when and how to take part.
Best wishes for a safe and profitable spring rental season!
