Hello, ARA of Canada. I am thrilled to reconnect with you all following an energizing and inspiring experience at The ARA Show™ that just took place in New Orleans. As your newly appointed ARA Region Ten director, it was truly a privilege to represent our region and engage with industry leaders, exhibitors and fellow members from across the country.
The ARA Show was an invaluable opportunity to connect with industry peers, gain insights into emerging trends and explore innovative solutions shaping the rental landscape. I return from the event invigorated and inspired by the collective passion and dedication of our industry professionals.
If you attended the show, I hope you had the chance to stop by the ARA booths to check out some of the association’s newest offerings. Some of the highlights this year included introductions to the ARA Certified Forklift Training program — which provides comprehensive training that is compliant with the Canadian Standards Association — and the Foundations of Safe Tenting course for those of us in the event segment. This tenting course, which was created in partnership with the Manufacturers and Tent Renters Association (MATRA) and the Advanced Textiles Association (ATA), can be accessed through RentalU.
One of my goals during my term is to keep highlighting ARA resources, like the ones above, that can make a real difference to our operations and our profitability. Watch this space in future issues of this newsletter for more.
In the spirit of collaboration and community, I am excited to announce an upcoming event that promises to further strengthen our bonds and foster camaraderie within our region. Mark your calendars for the ARA of Canada’s Ontario Golf Tournament, which is scheduled to take place Thursday, June 27. This much-anticipated event presents a fantastic opportunity to unwind, connect with fellow industry members and showcase our prowess on the green. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or new to the game, I encourage each of you to join us.
As your ARA Region Ten director, I am deeply committed to advancing the interests and objectives of our members, and I look forward to working closely with each of you in the months ahead. Together, we will continue to uphold the values of the American Rental Association, drive positive change, and ensure the continued success and growth of our industry.
